ONLINE TV GUIDE LISTING FREE TV SHOWS, CHANNELS, AND WHERE TO WATCH FULL- AND PARTIAL-LENGTH EPISODES ON THE WEB...

by Paula Neal Mooney An online TV guide listing free television shows, channels, and where to watch them on the web . It's technology that I knew existed, and in recent years I bemoaned the fact that I couldn't just go to my TV, select a show from a big ol' TV-guide like grid and watch it right away. Little did I know that I would see the day that Google declared TV on the TV dead , and TV online alive and kicking like a newborn babe! It makes perfect sense -- what with more and more people starting to switch to broadband or cable Internet connections and use their big screen TVs as monitors -- why shouldn't more TV stations stream full or partial episodes online? That way, the fact that you forgot to set your TiVo makes no nevermind. Hear about a good episode of a show from a friend, pull it up on your laptop and watch it. The fact that searches for a free online TV guide listing where to watch shows on the web are popular was just further impetus for me to begin wo

Mychal Bell, Jena Six, 6, Michael, Mychael, Gena, Gina ... However it's spelled, the September 20th Louisiana march may reduce his jail sentence...

by Paula Neal Mooney Jena 6 / Six Video Coverage of Protest March / Rally today, September 20, 2007, in Jena, Louisiana: If you haven't heard of the Jena Six (6), here's the most eloquent low-down I've read thus far... And Mychal Bell -- one of the Jena Six (6) -- was denied bond. Mychal Bell doesn't sound like a choir boy , but neither do the white students who purportedly cracked a black student's head open with a bottle -- and are not facing 22 years in prison. Either way, I signed the Jena Six (6) petition just now... ...and I donated my fin to the Jena Six (6) legal defense fund. The Lord alone knows if I'll be down in Jena, Louisiana for the planned march and rally for Mychal Bell on September 20th organized by Michael Baisden to ensure Bell's sentencing is fair... But I know God has worked thru us bloggers and protesters to free Shaquanda Cotton , will hopefully free Genarlow Wilson ...and will prayerfully move like a mighty rushing wind to set

Web Site Traffic Increase -- Get More, Increased, Guaranteed, Without-Having-to-Buy Web Site Traffic with This Free Report

by Paula Neal Mooney Web site traffic. Over 102,000 type that term into search engines each month. Increase web site traffic . Over 32,000 for that one. More web site traffic. That comes in under a healthy 10,000. Increased web site traffic . The past tense of "increase" makes 4th place. If you're one of the 5,999 people who found this post by typing stuff like " buy web site traffic " into Google or Yahoo -- you've probably already discovered one way I get more web site traffic for free, using this report that gives monthly statistics of search engine terms. Before you write your next blog post, take time to craft your title -- and put the most popular search terms closest to the front in your title. For example, notice that "web," "site," "traffic," "increase," "increased," "more," "buy" and "guaranteed" are some of the most popular terms typed together in some variation in

Deer Jumps Over Motorcycle Video -- Do you think it's real?

by Paula Neal Mooney Bless God I caught this deer jumping over a motorcycle video before it goes crazy-viral. (I haven't been this excited to blog about a video before it becomes nationwide news since Kramer said the N-word.) Anyway, the deer jumping over (or is it behind?) a motorcycle video adventure that left everyone alive to tell the tale -- or upload the video, as it were -- is truly a hedge of protection...if it's real. My husband thinks the deer jumping over a motorcycle video is real -- he saw a deer hit just the other day driving down I-77. I'm starting to think the deer jumping over a motorcycle video (hoping to get the first SERP position, ya know?) may be real, too. What do you all think? Hey! Where ya going? How Do I Get People to Read My Blog? Try writing for...

by Paula Neal Mooney How do I get people to read my blog!!? That's a major question new (and not-so-new) bloggers ask. One way I do it is by creating content for a variety of different online sources, some paid -- some unpaid, just to drive traffic back to my blog and get my writing in front of new sets of eyeballs. Some argue that us writers should never give our precious words away for free. There's validity to that on a variety of points; we should never devalue our gifts. But I find that I love to write so intensely, there are enough words flowing out of me to spread them around where I see fit. Once such place is DivineCaroline.com, a Parenting Resource website that allows you to register for free and post articles. I just registered and submitted my essay to the Friendships section of Divine Caroline , which was approved and spotlighted within minutes. I really like that they let you hyperlink back to your blog in your profile, and I love that they have pre-set images t

Google Adsense Between Blogger/Blogspot Posts Widget -- Use it to easily place ads in between your blog posts...

by Paula Neal Mooney I like that Google just announced this widget that allows Blogger/Blogspot blogs to put Google Adsense code in between (not within) posts . Using Google's new Blogger/Blogspot Adsense widget , I put a wide ad unit with a background matching my header in between my posts. At least it breaks up the posts nicely. Hope it pays. I wish we could use Blogger's new Google Adsense widget to put image and video ads in between our posts easily -- guess we'll have to stick with the Blogger hacks to do that. Hey! Where ya going? 'Save Me From Myself ' Book Excerpts by Brian 'Head' Welch of Korn about Jesus are a Hot Download on the Net -- And was made popular on Digg.com Today

by Paula Neal Mooney There's a reason why an article about ex-Korn guitarist Brian 'Head' Welch's book called Save Me from Myself: How I Found God, Quit Korn, Kicked Drugs, and Lived to Tell My Story was made popular on Digg.com today . In excerpts from the "Save Me From Myself" book and articles, Brian Welch speaks his truth about finding Jesus -- a truth that has me saying, "That's right!" and becoming envious and inspired by him telling the real deal behind being saved: "All of the man-made religion crap in this world has to die . . . " Brian Welch wrote about his raw and real Save Me From Myself book . "All that prideful, controlling religious crap is what drives young people away from churches." This is EXACTLY the way I've been feeling lately. No wonder young people are responding to the truth in droves. And I love it when a grungy, tattooed hard-rockin' guy becomes a believer, like Good Charlotte's Joel M

Should I Stay or Should I Go?

by Paula Neal Mooney Sometimes my husband and I will drive around looking at new houses, even if we aren't thinking of moving immediately. But other times, lately, it feels less like dreaming and more like planning. I'm grateful that God has put a roof over my head, and was thinking about the verse that says "to lose sight of yourself and all your own interests, take up your cross and follow Me." I hope I'm doing that, but if I'm blessed with a newer home on the cul-de-sac I've been envisioning with multi-cultural friends, I won't be at mad Him! And when we get serious about putting up this house on the market, I can try a place like eperks.com to find a realtor, if I don't use my neighbor, whom I love. eperks.com pulls up a cool Google-Earth-type map when you put in your location, and gives you info about real estate agents with cashback discounts of 15.5% or more or less. When and if I'm released, I will say "Au Revoir!" to this h

2007 Black Weblog Award Winners -- Who will they be?

by Paula Neal Mooney This weekend I took an interesting journey around the blogosphere, poking around the blogs of the potential 2007 Black Weblog Award winners . Who knew there were famous people on this list? I stumbled across the blog of Shavar Ross , a guy I used to watch on Diff'rent Strokes when I was but a wee girl fawning over Todd Bridges. So cool to see that Shavar is still in the writing, directing and producing game -- I just might download his Lord Help Us film or grab it from the video store this rainy day. Anyway, I left him a semi-ranting comment to put up an email sign-up box and turn on the Feedburner subscriptions to gain more readers -- you'd be surprised how many of the other folks on the list need to do the same. As you can see, Shavar gave me some link love so I'm throwing it right back at him (and I hope he's a do follower !) Vote for the 2007 Black Weblog Award Winners Of course I had to vote for my boy Cheynne Chong from Nerd With Swag , and

Blogging to Help End Alzheimer's Disease

by Paula Neal Mooney I'll admit it, I didn't have much of an emotional grasp on Alzheimer's disease and how it can affect the afflicted person and the ones that love them until I saw the results of it on TV. Whether in interviews with family members who describe the horror of having to tell someone with Alzheimer's afresh that a loved one they keep asking for has died -- and having that person experience the grief afresh each time -- or portrayed in movies or film, I'm starting to get an inkling of the hell it must be to live with Alzheimer's disease. The film that solidified it somewhat sweetly for me was The Notebook , wherein Gena Rowland's character had the forethought to write down the love-of-her-life story in (what else?) a notebook, and made her husband promise to read it to her all the time when she could no longer remember it. Chiefly, Grey's Anatomy did an excellent job of touching the pain of a daughter struggling with a brilliant mom frustr

What Black Men Think Movie Trailer, DVD and Documentary Videos

by Paula Neal Mooney What Black Men Think is debunking the myths that more black men are in jail than college. Watch the original What Black Men Think video that started the lively discussion, that has now been featured on C-SPAN. They even have the What Black Men Think DVD available now for purchase. But here are all the free What Black Men Think video snippets and sneak previews of the documentary posted on their website. Very cool. What Black Men Think has definitely made me think about not accepting pre-conceived stereotypes and false information. Hey! Where ya going? Should You Take a Break from Blogging?

by Paula Neal Mooney Recently, I took the longest break from blogging on this blog than I have taken in a long time. One full week. My family and I jetted out to Las Vegas, and on the plane ride out, my husband got upgraded to first class. Normally, that's a good thing, but Chris wanted to sit with us in coach. No problemo. With a mothering tone, I just asked the 12-year-old boy sitting next to us if he'd like to fly first class. He humbly agreed, and I eagerly helped him pull his painted skateboard, perhaps one of those zero skateboards that kids like him defy gravity with out of the overhead compartment. All the time I was singing Avril Lavigne's "Skater Boy" lyrics in my head, about the dissed grungy guy who later rocks "up MTV" with his no-doubt element skateboards and Tony Hawk moves. I admired the pre-teen so much, so attached to his skateboard that he considered it a necessary item to bring on the plane -- his medicine. And the Nevada desert br

Earn Extra Cash Money Online Now the Not-So-Fast-Easy-Free-Secret-Instant Ways -- How I Make Over $1,000 in 4 Weeks...

by Paula Neal Mooney It's that time again... ...income posting time! Exactly one month has passed since I last posted my income , and what a blessed month it has been. First off, my online activities led to a real article sale. Philip Martin found my writing online and sent me a check for $100 and published me in The New Writer's Handbook 2007: A Practical Anthology of Best Advice for Your Craft and Career , with a preface by Erica Jong. (Check me out on page 133 if you scoop a copy.) To be anywhere within the same pages with one of my most favorite legendary authors -- Erica Jong -- is surreal. (Glad to see news that Fear of Flying may be made into a movie starring a great actress, Maggie Gyllenhaal . The free copy of the book and payment for the piece is included in my income numbers below, as well as the free conference entree to BlogHer07, along with the wining and dining by the Real Simple magazine folks at the W Hotel. (Never mind the fact that the two nights my famil
